Cauliflower Webportal
This webportal is created to share the results of a thesis project in which a pangenomic analysis was done on cauliflower and Brassica oleracea species.

Thesis Project
The thesis was done to create a methodology to analyze variation across 157 Cauliflower genotypes using Pangenomics. We found that there was genome-wide variation and CNV for genes between Cauliflower and between Cauliflower and other Brassica oleracea varieties. Which indicates the need for a pangenomic approach to get a hollistic view of the genetic variation within a species or variety. This is a solution to avoid reference genome-based bias. This study also includes building this web portal with the possiblity to BLAST input queries to the panproteomes and pangenomes used. In addition, a Genome Browser is included to see how the resequenced Cauliflower genotypes map to the four Cauliflower genome assemblies used.
